Every available precaution has
been provided to assure the security and confidentiality of all material
submitted to Brief Legal Support,
llc. Although it is virtually impossible
to guarantee complete security, we think you will find our system provides
nearly infallible protection for your work.
Your information cannot be
retrieved by anyone other than you and BLS. All work is transmitted
directly into our system to an area which is designed to receive data only, and is not
otherwise accessible to any outside source. All work processing is achieved by using
equipment and software that is separate from any public network. All work
is processed by BLS employees–we do not outsource work. Your completed work
product is sent back to you via email and can only be accessed by you or someone
to whom you have given your personal password.
Choice of security and encryption settings are
available for returned
drafts, so that when you receive your work by email, that work is in a format which requires the use of a password
before it can be viewed, retrieved or otherwise accessed. You may choose to
activate this feature when you first sign up with BLS, or we can activate or
deactivate this feature at any time upon request.
Each time you transmit audio
dictation or faxed material, our system simultaneously stores a copy of those
files on a separate back-up system. Back-up information is retained for no
longer than ninety (90) days, and then physically destroyed. At any time
and upon request, BLS will copy all files then existing and belonging to any
client of BLS from our system onto compact disk, and deliver that disk to our
client. Upon request, BLS will purge all client information from our system and certify to the adequate accomplishment of that request. When computer
hardware is replaced, all hard drives and other data storage components are
professionally obliterated.
BLS holds all customer
information confidential to the fullest extent permitted by law and will not
divulge any information belonging to any customer without our customer's written
consent.
